When the news of COVID-19 began to spread around the world, Villa la Estancia Riviera Nayarit stepped up as a community leader by taking preventive measures and sending guests home. By taking these precautionary measures before they were mandated by the government, the resort was able to help decrease the impact of the virus on the local community. Now that the peak of the pandemic has passed, the government has announced that resorts may reopen as long as they take certain infection control measures and stress the importance of cleanliness. As Villa la Estancia Riviera Nayarit prepares to welcome travelers back to the shores of Mexico, the staff is implementing new security measures that align with the best hotel safety tips for keeping staff and guests healthy.
While guests were gone, a limited number of employees were able to complete a deep disinfectant cleaning of the resort as well as general maintenance and improvements. During this time, the resort focused on preparing new infection control measures that would allow them to safely reopen in the future based on the best hotel safety tips and good hygiene practices from health experts. They knew that before guests could return to Villa la Estancia Riviera Nayarit, all employees would need to undergo training on the symptoms of COVID-19, new standard cleaning and disinfection routines, and precautionary measures that would help stop the potential spread of the virus, and that is just what they did.
Director of Operations for the Vallarta-Nayarit Region of The Villa Group Resorts, Alan Pujol, emphasized the importance of their new protocols. “At The Villa Group Resorts, we remain committed to keeping our guests, staff, and community safe. During this time, employees are being trained on the symptoms of the coronavirus, and everyone is abiding by the preventive measures, disinfectant cleaning standards, and good hygiene practices we have implemented at our resorts. By creating new security measures such as these, guests will be able to safely return to their favorite destination time and time again.”
Several of the new security measures are designed to keep the virus out of the resort. Before entering the hotel, all employees and guests will go through a noninvasive temperature screening. If a guest falls ill or the virus is detected, a set of safety measures are ready to be implemented to keep members of the staff and guests safe. Other infection control measures will be taken to keep any germs and virus from entering the hotel. All employees will be given freshly laundered uniforms to change into when they arrive at the hotel, and all members of the kitchen staff will have shoe coverings to use. These good hygiene practices will hopefully keep any viruses out of the resort.
In addition to the usual daily resort cleaning, there will be an increase of disinfectant cleaning routines, focusing on commonly touched surfaces. With the new standard cleaning and disinfection routines, doorknobs, lightswitches, computers, desks, and tables will be regularly wiped down throughout the day. Because of the importance of cleanliness in fighting the coronavirus, common areas, like the lobby, elevators, and dining rooms, will also continuously be disinfected in addition to the usual resort cleaning. While Villa la Estancia Riviera Nayarit has always been an immaculate oasis in paradise, this new attention to disinfectant cleaning routines is one of the precautionary measures that will keep employees and guests safe during their time in the resort.
Between walks on the beach and afternoons by the pool, you’ll notice a few other safety measures and changes in the resort. To align with the best hotel safety tips, there will be modifications to some services, like room service and valet parking, that will help guests and staff practice social distancing, and the maximum capacity in common areas will be lower than usual. While the gym will be open, guests will have to schedule a time so that it doesn’t become overcrowded and guests can practice social distancing. There will also be increased cleaning and disinfection routines in the gym in addition to the standard cleaning. Throughout the resort, there will be antibacterial hand gel available so that everyone can keep good hygiene practices. While the resort is emphasizing the use of these preventive measures by all guests during their stay, they also want everyone to enjoy all the fun and beauty of a Mexico beach vacation.
It’s only with these preventive measures in place that Villa la Estancia Riviera Nayarit can safely welcome back guests. These safety measures that stress the importance of cleanliness will make your stay more comfortable as you relax by the pool or sit down in one of the elegant dining rooms knowing that everything is sanitary. When you return from a walk on the beach or lay down in your plush bed at night, you’ll be able to relax knowing that these security measures and resort cleaning and disinfecting routines are protecting your health.
